AIG partners with China’s CSCEC to kick off construction of AI Tower in New Capital

AIG has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), one of the world’s leading construction and engineering firms, appointing the Chinese company as the main contractor for its flagship AI Tower project in Egypt’s New Capital.
The agreement marks the first major step toward the project’s execution, signaling its transition from the planning and development phase to the commencement of on-the-ground implementation.
Through the partnership, AIG aims to leverage CSCEC’s global expertise in delivering landmark developments, ensuring that AI Tower is built to the highest international standards of engineering, quality, and construction while maintaining the project’s planned delivery schedule.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Ezz El-Din Kamal, Chairman of AIG, and Xuzhao Liang, General Manager of CSCEC Eighth division Egypt. The signing ceremony was attended by Wei Jianxun, Chairman of CSCEC Engineering Corporation, alongside senior executives and representatives from both companies.
Commenting on the agreement, Eng. Ezz El-Din Kamal, Chairman of AIG, said that the partnership marks the beginning of the execution phase for AI Tower and represents the first tangible step toward delivering one of the New Capital’s most prominent smart developments.
He noted that AIG had been committed from the outset to selecting an execution partner with a proven global track record, ensuring the project is delivered in line with international best practices.
Kamal added that CSCEC was selected following a comprehensive evaluation of potential contractors, in line with AIG’s strategy of building long-term partnerships with globally recognized companies that possess extensive expertise in delivering high-rise towers and complex developments.
He said the partnership adds significant value to the project from the very start of its execution.
He further pointed out that the collaboration with CSCEC goes beyond appointing a main contractor, reflecting AIG’s belief that exceptional developments begin with exceptional partners. Delivering the projects of the future, he said, requires world-class expertise, a clear vision, and an unwavering commitment to quality standards throughout every phase of construction.
Kamal noted that AIG, which has investments and operation expertise across more than five countries, is leveraging its international experience in the Egyptian market by partnering with leading global companies.
AIG’s Chairman disclosed that the company’s strategy is aimed at delivering a development that incorporates the latest technological and engineering innovations while maximizing long-term investment value.
He added that AI Tower will be Africa’s first artificial intelligence-powered tower. The 50-storey development is strategically located on Mohamed Bin Zayed Axis in the Central Business District of the New Capital and is designed around the concept of smart buildings, offering advanced operational and property management systems tailored to the evolving needs of businesses and investors.
Kamal explained that appointing CSCEC as the project’s main contractor provides significant execution capabilities, given the company’s extensive experience in delivering thousands of major projects worldwide.
He also highlighted CSCEC’s role in constructing the Central Business District of the New Administrative Capital, including the Iconic Tower and several landmark high-rise buildings.
Kamal concluded that the partnership marks the true launch of AI Tower’s execution phase and underscores AIG’s commitment to turning its vision into reality by collaborating with the world’s leading partners. Additionally, the collaboration will further strengthen the project’s position as one of the New Capital’s flagship smart developments.
